"Prof. Sonali Manwatkar, Assistant professor with 14+ years of academic and research experience, with degree in M. Pharm (Pharmacology) and pursuing PhD in pharmacology. Professional career started with Drug discovery and development, as a Drug metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Scientist. Worked in different research areas such as discovery of anticancer drugs, analgesics, Anti-diabetics and various auto immune condition. Handled various US-FDA audits for first in class discovery of new chemical entities. I have a diverse range of skills including Bioanalysis, handling of Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), Large molecule analysis by ELISA, In-vitro metabolic studies, Metabolite Identification, and PK/PD studies. Along with this, method development and validation using sophisticated instruments, such as LC-MS/MS and documentation as per the guideline are areas of efficiency. Do have the knowledge of toxicokinetic studies for the evaluation of acute and chronic toxicity in the animal for new molecules. I have an exposure of drug discovery from lead identification till the submission to IND. Also, Research work presented in various international conferences and published. Academic experience started with the founding batch of School of Pharmacy. In the academic years, published various papers, presented articles in international conferences, did lots of various activities such as extension activity, and started free health check-up for the teaching and non-teaching staff. Giving all the possible industry insights to the students, so that they will be ready for future opportunities and feel confident to face the challenges of the professional world. "
